BBF – world’s tourist hot spot

London – In a review of exotic 2006 events worldwide, London’s Independent recommends visiting Belgrade Beer Fest on August 16.

"In contrast to more infamous Bavarian beer festivals, Belgrade’s is a relative newcomer yet it hosted a huge attendance in its third year last year, advocating peace, reconciliation and good lager as its main causes," The Independent said.

Dejan Grastic, vice-president of the Belgrade Cultural Network (BCN), the festival’s organizer, told B92 this is a great recognition of BCN and the city. "Diligence and hard work can successfully transform Serbia’s image. We expect a significant turnout of tourists from the entire Europe and we will give out best to make this year’s festival the best so far," says Grastic.
